Being a parent is hard. How do we raise our kids to love Jesus? How do we grow to be the kind of parents we really want ourselves to be? At FBC, we're not about "doing it right" so kids "get it right." The heart behind our ministry is to support you, and to give you tools to create a grace-filled environment in your home. This, of course, only happens when we, as parents, are yielded to Christ's work in and through us. No matter where you're kids are, the Family Ministry at FBC has a targeted strategy: Partnering with parents for milestones, offering resources, and hosting Family Experiences, because we believe that two combined influences make a greater impact than just two individual influences (2 > 1 + 1).  

What this looks like here:
Small groups in every class at every grade level each week. Wednesday Night ministries that are dynamic, fun, and helpful for our kids' faith. Engaging Sunday Small Groups  every Sunday for parents (& grandparents!) seeking support in discipling their family well. Family Experiences created for you to make memories with a lasting spiritual impact for you and your kids.

We believe that Involvement = Ownership.  We strongly encourage kids and students toward personal ministry (and serving with their parents!) in order to foster a heart of service towards others and to create sense of belonging in the body of Christ and the local church. This can look like serving at family experience events, involvement with local ministries and missions, summer mission journeys, and more.

BIG Wednesday Nights

First 3 Wednesdays of September-November 
& January-March
Big Wednesday is for children Prek4-6th grade is designed to help kids grow in their understanding of who God is and how much He loves them through worship, large group Bible lessons, small groups, along with games and dinner! 

Bible Drill

September-April
Bible Drill is a fun and meaningful way for kids  in  3rd-6th grade to grow in God’s Word. Through weekly practice, they memorize Scripture, build confidence, and learn to navigate the Bible—leading up to the Texas Southern Baptist Convention State Bible Drill each spring where they have the opportunity to compete against other drillers and churches to challenge their skills and test their Scripture knowledge!

KidsLEAD

1-2x monthly, all year long!
KidsLEAD is an opportunity for kids who have already decided to follow Jesus and want to grow even more in their faith. Through KidsLEAD they are intentionally discipled, taught to put spiritual disciplines into action,  and are given and called to opportunities to serve their community to lead them closer to Christ. This often includes serving during Big Wednesday nights by leading lessons, worship, and through outward mission focuses.

Nursery

Every Sunday
Our Nursery is committed to providing a loving environment for your little ones (Birth-Prek 3) to receive care during our Sunday School & corporate worship services! Here they play, grow, interact with our amazing nursery staff, and hear God's powerful Word for themselves in an age-appropriate way!
